Stone & Soul

At OIXDESIGN, natural stone is more than a surface material. It is the foundation of our furniture, bath pieces, sinks, bathtubs, vanities, and custom project work.

Each stone carries its own color movement, veining, texture, mineral lines, and quiet imperfections formed over time. Our role is to select, shape, and refine these materials with care, allowing the natural character of each piece to become part of the final design.

From marble and travertine to granite, onyx, quartzite, sandstone, limestone, riverstone, and other selected stones, every OIXDESIGN piece begins with the soul of the material itself.

Why Natural Stone Matters

Natural stone gives a space something manufactured materials cannot fully recreate: depth, weight, texture, and individuality.

A marble bathtub, travertine sink, granite outdoor bath, or solid stone table does more than serve a function. It becomes a lasting material presence in the room. The veining, pores, color movement, and mineral markings are not repeated from one block to another, which means each finished piece carries its own natural identity.

At OIXDESIGN, we work with natural stone because it brings together permanence, craftsmanship, and quiet beauty. Whether used in furniture, bath spaces, or project work, stone creates a connection between architecture, nature, and daily living.

Marble

Marble is valued for its natural veining, refined surface movement, and timeless visual character. It can feel soft and elegant in white and light-toned selections, or richer and more dramatic in darker or heavily veined stones.

At OIXDESIGN, marble is used across stone tables, sinks, bathtubs, vanities, and custom bath pieces where a sense of refinement and natural pattern is important.

Travertine

Travertine brings warmth, softness, and architectural calm. Its natural pores, layered movement, and earthy tones make it especially suitable for spa-like interiors, quiet luxury bathrooms, sculptural furniture, and hospitality spaces.

From travertine side tables to travertine sinks and bathtubs, this material creates a grounded, organic feeling while still carrying the depth and permanence of natural stone.

Granite

Granite is one of the strongest and most durable natural stones we work with. Its density, hardness, and resistance to outdoor exposure make it especially suitable for pieces that need long-term performance, including indoor and outdoor bath spaces.

Granite bathtubs, sinks, and custom pieces can feel bold, grounded, and architectural, with natural color options ranging from quiet neutrals to deeper, more dramatic tones.

Onyx, Quartzite & Special Stones

Some projects call for a more expressive material direction. Onyx, quartzite, sandstone, limestone, riverstone, and other special stones can bring stronger color, more dramatic movement, luminous depth, or a more organic natural texture.

These stones are especially suited to statement bathtubs, sculptural sinks, custom vanities, and project pieces where the material itself becomes a focal point.

Natural Variation Is Part Of The Beauty

Because each OIXDESIGN piece is made from genuine natural stone, variation is expected and should be appreciated as part of the material’s character.

Natural stone may include veining, mineral lines, pores, color variation, fossil-like markings, cloudy movement, filled natural fissures, and surface texture differences. These features are not defects. They are part of how real stone is formed.

For this reason, every stone table, sink, bathtub, vanity, and custom piece may vary from sample images or product photography. The final result is not mass-produced sameness, but natural individuality.

Finishes That Shape The Final Feeling

The finish of a stone piece influences both its appearance and how it feels in the space. A honed surface can feel soft, calm, and natural. A polished surface can bring more reflection, depth, and visual drama. Textured finishes can create a stronger tactile and architectural character.

Depending on the stone type and project, selected finishes may include polished, honed, flamed, bush-hammered, rough-picked, chiseled, or other hand-finished surface effects.

The right finish depends on the material, the product type, and how the piece will be used.

Handcrafting a natural stone piece during the process from raw block to finished form

From Stone Block To Finished Piece

Each OIXDESIGN piece begins with careful material selection. The stone is then cut, shaped, hollowed, carved, refined, finished, inspected, and prepared for delivery according to the product type and project requirements.

A stone table requires balance, proportion, and structural precision. A stone sink requires careful basin shaping and edge refinement. A stone bathtub requires skilled hollowing, thickness control, comfort, drainage planning, and surface finishing. A stone vanity requires both material continuity and functional detail.

This is where natural stone becomes design — shaped by human hands, guided by the character of the material.

Discuss Your Project

Natural Stone Notes

Q: Will my stone piece look exactly like the photo?

No. Natural stone varies from block to block. Veining, color movement, mineral lines, pores, texture, and natural markings may differ from the product images. This variation is part of the beauty of genuine natural stone.

Q: Are natural veins or lines considered defects?

No. Natural veins, mineral lines, tonal movement, pores, filled fissures, and other visible variations are normal characteristics of genuine natural stone. They are part of how the material is formed in nature and are not considered defects. These features are part of the individuality and beauty of each piece.

Q: Can I choose a specific stone tone or pattern?

In most cases, no. Because natural stone varies from block to block, exact control over tone, veining, pattern, or surface character is generally not possible. Each piece is made from genuine natural stone, so variation should be expected as part of the material itself. Only in selected custom or project-based situations with a very specific budget and broader material allowance may a more targeted stone direction be discussed, but exact matching still cannot be guaranteed.

Q: Which stone is best for my project?

It depends on the product type, intended use, desired mood, installation environment, and maintenance expectations. Marble, travertine, granite, onyx, quartzite, sandstone, limestone, and river stone each bring different visual and performance qualities.

Q: Are some stones better for outdoor use?

Yes. Denser and harder stones such as granite are especially suitable for outdoor bath environments. Other stones may be better suited to indoor or covered spaces depending on the project and finish.

Q: What should I expect from genuine natural stone?

All OIXDESIGN products made from natural stone are crafted from genuine natural stone selected for the product type and project direction. Because natural stone is formed by nature, each piece is unique and may include natural veining, mineral lines, pores, filled fissures, tonal variation, cloudy movement, fossil-like markings, and internal structural features formed through geological processes.

These natural characteristics are not manufacturing defects and do not indicate structural failure, material weakness, or compromised integrity. Visual features that may resemble cracks or fractures are often natural veins, resin-filled veins, or mineral patterns inherent to the stone. A condition shall be considered a structural crack or defect only if it results in loss of structural integrity, instability, inability to safely support normal use, or functional failure of the product.

Product photos, samples, and material images are intended to show the general stone direction only. By placing an order, the customer acknowledges and accepts the natural variability and inherent characteristics of genuine natural stone materials.
