Our Story
OIXDESIGN began in British Columbia, Canada, with a simple belief: natural stone should not only be admired from a distance. It should become part of daily living — through furniture, bath spaces, lighting, décor, and meaningful interiors.
Founded by Kay Miller, whose family and team have spent more than 20 years working in the natural stone industry, OIXDESIGN brings together material knowledge, design thinking, and hands-on manufacturing experience. We understand both the beauty and the challenges of working with stone: it is heavy, varied, demanding, and never completely predictable.
But those same qualities are what give natural stone its depth, permanence, and individuality. OIXDESIGN was created to bring this material into modern homes and project spaces in a more thoughtful way — through better design, better craftsmanship, smarter structures, and a deeper respect for the stone itself.

Our craftsmanship process may include stone selection, cutting, shaping, hollowing, carving, edge refinement, surface finishing, sealing, inspection, and export-ready packing. This innovation helps reduce some of the traditional barriers of heavy stone furniture while preserving the sculptural presence of genuine marble, travertine, and other natural stones.
For bath pieces, our approach is different but guided by the same thinking: shape the material with care, respect its structure, and create sinks, bathtubs, and vanities that feel calm, tactile, architectural, and lasting.

A More Thoughtful Use Of Stone
Working with natural stone means working with a material that already carries time, energy, and geological history. We treat that material with care.
Where possible, leftover stone pieces and offcuts are repurposed into smaller décor, lighting, samples, or design details, helping us make better use of the material beyond the main piece. Our modular furniture designs also help reduce some of the challenges traditionally associated with moving, assembling, and placing heavy stone furniture.
